Modstandsmanden Jens Toldstrup
I'm looking for a book by a World War two resistance leader called Jens Tolstrup.
After his war experiences he wrote a book called " Without fighting, no victory "
I have meet this author and held his book, that was back in 1982 approximately. It was printed in Danish, unfortunately I only read in English, so it was of no use to me.
The content of the book :-
Before the war Jens was a Scout leader. When the war came along he used his troop of scouts to sabotage the German war effort. At first it was simple things like cutting telephone wires, but gradually over the years it escalated. They received help from Britian in the form of materials and instructors to teach them in how to use them. This in turn lead to the use of plastic explosives, which were used to disable them to blow up vital railway links and comunication centres.
I am sorry I do not speak or read any Danish. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.
The book by Jens Toldstrup is called: "Uden kamp, ingen sejr" and your tranlation is correct: Without fighting, no victory". As far as I can see, the book has never been translated into English. The book has been edited in at least 3 editions, the newest in 1963.
